Rori’s school called my house yesterday.
It seems there has been a lice break out at her school.
I don’t know if any of you have had the pleasure of dealing with lice (or fleas) before, but let’s just say they’re a nightmare.
And of course they spotted a couple of live ones on her head.
So I spent the better part of last night washing and scrubbing EVERYTHING and EVERYONE trying to curb the scourge that had infested itself into our lives.
I think the next time the school calls to tell me that one of my children has even been in the same CLASSROOM as someone with lice; I’ll burn down my house.
Trust me; it’d be easier in the long run. At least insurance adjusters speak English.
And if all else fails… I can sugar their gas tanks.
Try to do that to lice!!
Anyway… now that I’ve offically posioned my entire family (including my husband’s right eye), causing us all to go completely loopy from the fumes of the sprays and gels and shampoos,… I’ll attempt to coherently tell you about the rest of my day/week/month/something or other.
As per your request, Nicole and I are going out again tonight. And to an establishment that does not serve any type of conscious altering beverages.

Remember those kittens you fell in love with just a few days ago?
They’re all sold. They’ll be leaving my house in spurts come Tuesday. They’re giving me some ‘last day’ snuggles right now. Two have curled up on my lap (you know just to make me feel guilty for getting rid of them) while the third has been attacking my sockless foot for the last half an hour. Her claws are getting sharp!
I woke up this morning to a mountain of snow. It seems as if our town officially shut down.
It makes me laugh when I hear that businesses are closing shop due to snow. Normally schools do, not wanting to endanger the lives of the little ones, but businesses? Aren’t we Canadian? We’re used to this kind of thing! We don’t freak out over a little white stuff in the air! I scoffed at Old Man Winter this morning determined not to let him slow me down.
I had things to do, meetings to make, items to acquire! I was a Canadian… I stopped for no man… no matter how old or frosty.
… I got stuck three times trying to get down my road.

Double Damn it… now that I’ve been talking about lice, my head is starting to itch again! Let’s pray it’s psychosematic.
I can hear my young ones upstairs running around their rooms refusing to nap. Perhaps their heads are itchy too. Or perhaps karma is just dealing out one last blow for my taking on Winter earlier this morning.

Lice are not nice. Cool, about the kitties:). We’re also snowed in, here in Saco. That’s okay, ‘cuz the hubby made a big pot of chili, and we also have hot chocolate to sip. Next month is March. Yay! “Snow, snow, go away…”

Although here in Canada that doesn’t exactly guarantee a thaw… sometimes March is worse than February! Unfair!
That really sucks about the lice!!!!! Thankfully I haven’t had to deal with that…..though ask me many years from now if I have kids.
I’m with BiGirl…I’m sure we all had to pressure you into this next date LOL I will say try not to wake up on the couch fully clothed this time. In her bed, naked (or some HOT lingerie) is more ideal
We got hit with over 2 feet of snow in my area. School’s have been closed since Friday (I believe they’re finally opening back up tomorrow) and the roads are a mess. The dance studio has been closed since Friday…we open back up tomorrow..though my regular job has been open so it was fun commuting there :/

We were shut down on Friday, but by the evening everything was back to normal again. I don’t know how much we actually got in feet… but I know that the piles at the end of my driveway are actually over my head. It’s rare for us to get that much snow now. But I remember when I was a kid it used to happen all the time.
OMG. It’s happening! It’s happening already! One day that story will be about me walking to school, barefoot, in snow over my head… and the only way to get there was to tunnel it out every day…

I’ll admit to not wearing lingerie all the time but on the days I don’t it doesn’t mean there isn’t something “lacey” underneath. Need to be prepared at all times

I actually have a lingerie Amour. The top part is for anything hanging and then there are 4 drawers on the bottom for anything I fold. It’s about 80% full. So yes I can fill up more than one suitcase. Though when I visit you I’ll bring the naughtier stuff (or as Jess refers to it..”My HOT slutty lingerie” LOL) and give you a special fashion show
